چکیده

Abstract Background and Aims Hemodialysis patients (HD) are in a chronic state of systemic inflammation, with vast majority these vitamin D deficient. Vitamin appears to be strong controller inflammation. It's well known that C-reactive protein (CRP) is considered the gold inflammatory markers. Recently, neutrophil- to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) platelet-to-lymphocyte (PLR) have been shown inexpensive, readily available indicators This study demonstrate pleotropic effects, efficacy safety two dosing regimens cholecalciferol; (weekly regimen vs monthly regimen) on novel HD population. Method A prospective, randomized trial was carried out evaluate effect weekly versus, oral cholecalciferol, (25(OH)D) levels, markers secondary hyperparathyroidism patients. Fifty eligible were randomly assigned either Group (Once 50.000IU Cholecalciferol) or B (One monthly, 200.000IU Cholecalciferol), for 3 months’ period. Serum levels high sensitive CRP (hsCRP), NLR, PLR, all assessed at baseline end study. Results Cholecalciferol significantly increased serum 25(OH)D both groups. significant decrease hsCRP (p <0.001) NLR noted only A. No difference calcium phosphorus noticed. side effects adverse events reported. Conclusion Weekly (50.000 IU) cholecalciferol beneficial action replenishing patients, an ameliorative status as well. seems effective, non-expensive indicator HD.
